WAPA INTERRUPTING SERVICE TO SECTIONS OF SEVERAL FEEDERS WHILE REPAIRS ARE IN PROGRESS AT HARLEY PLANT

WAPA ALERT

Update:  4 p.m.

WAPA has returned service to St. Thomas areas indicated below.  Service will be interrupted from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to a portion of Feeder 7B from Sapphire to Smith Bay.   

 

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority technicians are working on several units in St. Thomas’ Randolph E. Harley Power Plant, which tripped off line earlier today. Plant personnel are currently troubleshooting the problem.

In order serve the schools and several critical agencies of St. Thomas, WAPA will implement service interruption to several feeders as follows:

12:30 to 2:30 p.m.:       Portion of Feeder 6A from the University of the Virgin Islands to

                                     Western area of Bordeaux 

1. to 3 p.m.                  Portion of Feeder  6A Crown Mountain area

1 to 2 p.m.                   Portions of Feeder 8B—Peterborg, Skyline Drive

1:30 to 3:30 p.m.         Portions of Feeder 7—Altoona, Solberg, St. Peter Mountain

                                     Sapphire to Smith Bay.

 

WAPA apologizes for the inconvenience these interruptions may cause and will restore service as soon as possible.
