ALL ST. THOMAS FEEDERS RESTORED TO SERVICE

(Monday, July 18, 2011)

UPDATE WAPA ALERT – 11:30 A.M.

ALL ST. THOMAS FEEDERS RESTORED TO SERVICE

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has restored service to all feeders serving the St. Thomas district.  There were sporadic service interruptions to several feeders starting today at about 8:30 a.m., when the gas turbine, Unit #23, in the Randolph E. Harley Power Plant tripped off line.

WAPA apologizes to its customers for any inconveniences that occurred due to the service interruptions.  Customers are urged to continue to conserve energy to minimize demand on the system.

Any isolated problems can be reported by calling the Line Department’s Emergency Line at (340) 774-1424.
