(Sunday, August 28, 2011)

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority plant personnel are working to bring Unit #23, at the Randolph Harley Power Plant, back on line after a problem caused the unit to shutdown unexpectedly. Service interruptions to some feeders will continue as technicians work to restore the unit to full operation. WAPA hopes to have service repaired by tonight.  Service to the following feeders will be interrupted from 5 to 7 p.m.:

Feeder 6A – Estate Pearl, Bordeaux, Santa Maria, Contant and other neighboring areas.

Feeder 9A – Back Street, Government Hill, Main Street and other neighboring areas.

Feeder 9C – Mandahl, Mariendahl, Nadir, Estate Charlotte Amalie and other neighboring areas.

Feeder 10B – Bakkeroe, Bolongo, Havensight, Flag Hill and other neighboring areas.

Feeder Ridge Road – Anchorage, Cabrita Point, Cowpet Resort and other neighboring areas.

WAPA regrets the service interruptions and will restore feeders as soon as possible.
