UPDATED WAPA ALERT: Service Interrupted to Several Feeders IN STT/STJ District

(Monday, August 29, 2011)

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority plant personnel are working to bring Unit #23, at the Randolph Harley Power Plant, back on line after technicians took the unit offline due to a fuel leak discovered early this morning.  The leak has been repaired and service will be restored once all checks are completed and the unit is put on line.   


From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the following feeders will experience service interruptions:

Feeder 7E (St. John) – Bordeaux, Cruz Bay, East End and neighboring areas

Feeder 8A – Estate Ross, Garden Street, Savan, Lytton’s Fancy and neighboring areas

Feeder 9A – Main Street, Back Street, parts of Subbase and neighboring areas


If necessary, the following feeders will experience outages from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.:

Feeder 8B – Hospital Ground, Mafolie, Magens Bay, Skyline Drive and neighboring areas

Feeder 9C – Brookman, Estate Charlotte Amalie, Mariendahl and neighboring areas


WAPA regrets the service interruptions and will restore feeders as soon as possible.
