WAPA ALERT: Service Interruption to Feeders in STT/STJ District

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will continue the feeder rotation schedule today, as plant personnel work to bring Unit 23 back on line.  Since Sunday, WAPA has successfully repaired each fuel leak that has developed, however plant engineers are in consultation with General Electric, the original equipment manufacturer, to get at the root cause of the problem.  The Authority is doing all that it can to minimize the reoccurrence of the leak ruptures that have continued to develop in the fuel line.  While WAPA is working to restore the unit to full service, it will continue a limited a rotation schedule. 

The following feeders will be taken offline as needed throughout the day.  The time of the actual rotation may vary slightly, but all intervals will last for 2 hours.


11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Feeder 8A - Contant, Estate Ross, Lytton’s Fancy, Savan and other neighboring areas

Feeder 8B (section) - Mafolie, Magens Bay, Peterborg and other neighboring areas

Feeder 9D - Bolongo Bay, Bovoni, Frenchman’s Bay, Thomasville and neighboring areas


1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Feeder 6 – Estate Pearl, UVI, Bordeaux, Lindberg Bay

Feeder 9C - Brookman, Estate Charlotte Amalie, Mariendahl and neighboring areas

Feeder 10B (section) – Bakkero, Flag Hill,  Havensight and neighboring areas


3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Feeder 7C - Four Winds, Time Center, Tutu High Rise, Cassi Hill and neighboring areas


Feeder 9E (St. John) – Centerline, Chocolate Hole, Enighed, Fish Bay and neighboring areas

Feeder Ridge Road - Anchorage, Cabrita Point, Cowpet Resort and other neighboring areas


5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Feeder 7E (St. John) – Bordeaux, Cruz Bay, East End and neighboring areas

Feeder 7B - Oswald Harris Court, Raphune Hill, Estate Thomas, Vitraco Park and neighboring areas

Feeder 7D - Red Hook, Smith Bay, Sapphire, Water Bay Condo Frydendahl and neighboring areas


7:30 -9:30 p.m.

Feeder 7A - Solberg, Lerkenlund, Bonne Resolution, portions of Hull Bay and other neighboring areas

Feeder 9D - Bolongo Bay, Bovoni, Frenchman’s Bay, Thomasville and neighboring areas

Feeder 9A - Subbase, Savan and other neighboring areas


WAPA regrets the service interruptions and will restore feeders as soon as possible.
