11 P.M. Update. St. Thomas Feeder Interruptions

WAPA ALERT 11 P.M. UPDATE

 SERVICE INTERRUPTED TO ST. THOMAS FEEDERS WHILE REPAIRS ARE UNDERWAY IN HARLEY PLANT

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority St. Thomas Harley Plant personnel continue to make repairs to gas turbine unit #23, which tripped off-line this morning. Currently, service has been restored to most feeders.   

Service is now interrupted to the following feeders

Until 11:30 p.m. approximately

Feeder #9D includes Benner Hill, Bolongo Bay, Bovoni, Frydenhoj, Hawk Hill, Nadir, Nazareth, Thomasville, and neighboring areas

From 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., approximately, (if necessary)

Feeder #7E includes Cruz Bay and neighboring areas.

Other feeders may experience periodic interruptions. Every effort will be made to restore service as soon as possible.

The Authority appreciates the patience of its customers and apologizes for the inconvenience.
