WAPA ALERT 7:30 UPDATE

 SERVICE INTERRUPTED TO ST. THOMAS FEEDERS WHILE REPAIRS ARE UNDERWAY IN HARLEY PLANT

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority St. Thomas Harley Plant personnel continue to make repairs to gas turbine unit #23, which tripped off-line this morning. Currently, service has been restored to feeders 6A, 8A  and 9A.   

Service is now interrupted to the following feeders

7-9 p.m. approximately

Feeders #7D    Emerald Hill, Frydendahl, Point Pleasant, Red Hook, Smith Bay and neighboring areas.

 

Feeder Ridge Road includes Secret Harbor, Cabrita Point, Ridge Road and neighboring areas

From 7:30 to 9:30 approximately

Portions of the following feeders will be without service

Portions of #8Bwith the exception of the Carnival village

Portions of  Feeder #9E serving St. John

Portions of #7A—serving St. Thomas’ north side

Other feeders may experience periodic interruptions. Every effort will be made to restore service as soon as possible.
