The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is relocating its St. Thomas Customer Service office to #1 Beltjen Place on Monday, July 16. At the new location, which was formerly the Innovative Cable TV office, customers will be able to conduct normal customer service operations, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Authority was forced to find new office space for its displaced employees due to the extensive fire damage to the southern wing of the administration building in Subbase last March. Although the move came about due to such undesirable circumstances, Customer Service Director Monique Richards is looking forward to the move. “All transactions can now comfortably take place indoors; instead of customers lining up adjacent to the building to make payments,” said Richards. The now centrally located office will also benefit those customers situated on the eastern end of St. Thomas who need to conduct WAPA business in person.

While payments will continue to be accepted at the new location, customers are urged to make payments online at Payments can also be made by check or money order into the drop boxes at WAPA business offices, at most local banks and via the mail service. Payments made at cashier windows or by mail should always be accompanied by the payment stub located at the lower portion of the monthly statement.
