TRAFFIC DETOUR SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY IN CHRISTIANSTED TOWN, ST. CROIX

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is informing St. Croix motorists that contractor, Rotating Equipment Corp., will be installing a fire hydrant on Hospital Street, near the old Army Barracks, on Wednesday, September 26. A section of Hospital Street, between East Street and New Street, will be closed to through traffic from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, to 2 a.m. on Thursday, September 27. No water interruptions are expected during this time.

To ensure the safety of the crew, pedestrians and other motorists in the area, motorists are asked to drive cautiously and follow all traffic directions. WAPA appreciates the understanding of the public during this capital water service enhancement project.
