WAPA To Make Emergency Water Line Repairs Friday on Palm Strade, St. Thomas

(Thursday, April 11, 2013)

WAPA WATER AND TRAFFIC ALERT

WAPA TO MAKE WATER LINE REPAIRS FRIDAY ON PALM STRADE

RESIDENTS ASKED TO REMOVE ALL VEHICLES

Virgin Islands Water and Power water crews are mobilizing to make emergency repairs Friday to a 6-inch water line on Palm Strade in St. Thomas. Because of the location of the ruptured pipe, the repairs cannot begin until tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and as a result, water service has been interrupted to the customers on Palm Strade until repairs are completed.

Additionally, Palm Strade will be cordoned off during the repairs and vehicle access will not be permitted. The Authority is asking all owners of vehicles parked on Palm Strade to remove them by 9 a.m. Friday in order to facilitate the heavy equipment and work that will be necessary.

For more information contact the water department at 340-775-5873

The Authority appreciates the understanding of the customers on Palm Strade and will make every effort to complete repairs as soon as possible.
