The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will interrupt service to St. Thomas Feeder #5A on Friday, May 24, from 1 to 2 a.m. Customers to be affected include the Emerald Beach Hotel, the Island Beachcomber Hotel, the Total Gas storage facility and Water Island.

During the outage, primary lines for the transcloser at the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority’s (VIWMA) Lindbergh Bay sewer station will be temporarily separated from the main feeder lines serving the airport so that VIWMA technicians can perform maintenance work on the facility’s high voltage underground system.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously in the work area of the sewer station and to follow all traffic directions for the safety of the crews and the public.

Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible.
