WAPA Schedules St. Thomas Road Closure to Install Water Lines

(Tuesday, September 10, 2013)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled a road closure for Wednesday evening, September 11 in the Four Winds Plaza area on St. Thomas to install water lines. During the installation from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., both the north and south bound lanes of the roadway from the Splash and Dash car wash to Tillett Gardens will be closed to traffic. Motorists can use alternate routes through Four Winds Plaza or New Tutu, and are asked to observe signs and flaggers directions.

The work is part of the Authority’s meter installation and upgrades projects and is subsidized by internal capital improvement funds. The cost of the project will not exceed $10,000.

No water interruption is anticipated during this time, and every effort will be made to restore thru traffic to this area as soon as possible.

The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this road closure.
