WAPA Emergency Water Line Repairs in Sugar Estate

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority crews will be repairing a leak in the waterline on 5th street in the vicinity of Sugar Estate this evening.  Crews have isolated the problem and have begun excavation and draining of water lines in Sugar Estate. Water service will be interrupted to customers from 1st through 10th street as well as Paul M. Pearson Gardens.  It is anticipated that water service will be restored by 10 p.m. 

Customers are asked to switch to cisterns if available to facilitate water availability while repairs are in progress.

Traffic will be interrupted on 6th Street. Motorists are asked to observe signs and flaggers directions for the safety of the crews and the public. For more information please call the Water Distribution department at 775-5873 or email
