WAPA to Begin Upper Love Waterline Expansion Project

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority and Zenon Construction, Inc. will begin construction on the Upper Love Potable Waterline Expansion Project on Tuesday, January 21. Crews will work weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to install approximately 1,400 linear feet of pipes in order to provide water service to an additional 17 homes in the Upper Love community.

There is no anticipated water service interruption to existing customers in the surrounding areas, and no disruption to traffic. To ensure the safety of crews, pedestrians and other motorists in the area, motorists are asked to drive cautiously and obey traffic directions.

This waterline expansion project, which is projected to be completed in April 2014, is budgeted at $100,000 and funded by prior year property tax proceeds.
