Service Interruption Scheduled for Saturday Section of St. Croix Feeder #5

(Thursday, June 05, 2014)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled a service interruption to a small section of St. Croix Feeder #5 for Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crews will work in the area of Estate Bethlehem to relocate a three phase line in order to construct a triple circuit line from the Mid Island substation to connect feeders 6 and 10 on Mon Bijou Road. This work is part of WAPAs upgrade and preventive maintenance project to reduce line loss. Areas affected by this interruption include customers in sections of Candido Guadalupe Terrace, Charles Emmanuel School, Areo Diaz Housing Community and the V.I. Housing Authority main office.

Motorists are asked to proceed cautiously in the area and to follow the flagger’s instructions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers.

Every effort will be made to restore service as soon as possible. The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this interruption.
