WAPA Schedules Plant Efficiency Measures at St. Thomas Harley Plant

(Thursday, June 05, 2014)

Small Pockets of Feeders to be Affected by Temporary Interruptions on Sunday

On Sunday, June 8, from 4 a.m. - 7 a.m., Water and Power Authority personnel at the St. Thomas Randolph Harley Power Plant will be performing measures which will result in restoring the plant to its most optimal efficient combined cycle operation mode, while simultaneously taking measures to convert our facility to burn LPG (Propane) LNG (Natural Gas) and fuel oil.
Performing the efficiency measures will require rotation of service in small pockets of feeders. From 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., service will be interrupted to portions of feeders 7A (from Altona to Northside), 7B and 9C (from Raphune Hill to Fort Mylner), and 7C (from Fort Mylner to Old Tutu). From 6 a.m to 7 a.m., service will be interrupted to portions of feeders 8B, Ridge Road, 9C and 9D (from the Nadir/Bovoni intersection to Fort Mylner).
The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these temporary interruptions and asks customers to make necessary preparations in advance. Everything possible will be done to minimize the inconvenience to customers.
Customers experiencing service interruption beyond the scheduled times should contact the Authority at 774-1424 or by email to
