Service Interruption Scheduled for Section of St. Thomas Feeder 6B Downtown Charlotte Amalie

(Saturday, November 29, 2014)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will be performing maintenance on the underground switches in downtown Main Street on Monday, December 1, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

In order to safely isolate the area, crews will temporarily interrupt electric service to a portion of feeder #6B. The interruption will affect the service area between the Alvaro DeLugo Post Office to Market Square and the waterfront area from Cardow to First Bank.

While crews are working on Main Street there will be very limited interruption to vehicular traffic. Motorists are asked to observe signs and flaggers directions. Pedestrian traffic in the area will also encounter limited interruption.

Every effort will be made to restore service to the affected areas as quickly as possible. The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this service interruption.
