St. Thomas Emergency Water Service Interruption on Veteran’s Drive

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority announces an emergency water service interruption on St. Thomas today, Tuesday, June 2, on Veterans Drive.  While crews make emergency repairs to a severe leak on the 10” water main located by the One Stop Gas Station, water service will be interrupted to residents and businesses from One Stop Gas Station, eastbound to the Emile Griffith Park.  Customers in Frenchtown from to Davis Funeral Home to the Frenchtown ball park, along LaBelle Road will also be affected. Repairs are estimated to be completed by 2 p.m. today.

Motorists may experience brief traffic delays in the area of One Stop Gas Station while crews make repairs, and are asked to proceed cautiously and to follow traffic directions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers. 

Additionally, the Savan Pump Station is currently offline and being repaired.  Water service has been interrupted to customers on Gylling St., Hill St., Gamle Norsidevej, upper Anna’s Fancy, upper Hodges St. and Solberg. Repairs to the Savan Pump station will be completed by 9 a.m.

Every effort will be made to restore service to all affected customers as quickly as possible. The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these emergency service interruptions.
