WAPA Schedules Road Closure in Cruz Bay for Hydrant Repairs

(Tuesday, November 10, 2015)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled a road closure of the northern half of King Street, in Cruz Bay, St. John, on Thursday, November 12 and Friday November 13, 2015.  The roadway, from the Old Chase Bank location to the corner of the Post Office, will be closed to allow water crews to replace a damaged fire hydrant. Repair of the hydrant is necessary to improve fire protection in Cruz Bay and the surrounding areas.

While crews are making repairs, traffic will be re-routed around this portion of King Street in Cruz Bay.  Motorists are asked to follow directional signs and flagmen instructions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers. The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this road closure, and ensures the public that every effort will be made to restore vehicular traffic as quickly as possible.

For additional information about the upcoming road closure, contact WAPA Water Distribution at 775-5873 or e-mail
