St. Thomas Water Interruption Scheduled for Tuesday - Contant Area

(Monday, June 20, 2016)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority announces a water service interruption for a portion of the St. Thomas Contant area on Tuesday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers in Contant from the Car Wash to the John Thomas Funeral Home, will experience water service interruption while contractor Islands Roads Corporation ties in a 6-inch waterline to the 8-inch main on the Harwood Highway, for the Contant Midtown rehabilitation project. The project, which is funded by an EPA grant, will improve water quality and system pressure in the Contant area.

Customers are urged to store adequate water for use during the scheduled service interruption.

The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this water service interruption and ensures customers that every effort will be made to restore water service as quickly as possible.

For more information about Tuesday’s water service interruption in the Contant area, please call the Water Distribution department at 775-5873 or email communications@viwapa.vi.
