WAPA Schedules Traffic Interruption Friday for Polyberg Hill

(Thursday, May 11, 2017)

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled a traffic interruption for Polyberg Hill on St. Thomas, on Friday May 12, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This traffic interruption will allow the Water Distribution crews to perform an exploratory excavation of the water main, in preparation for the upcoming water connection to the new V.I. Fire Service’s Hotel Company and Headquarters.

Traffic interruption will affect the westbound lane from Lovers Lane to the J. Antonio Jarvis School. The eastbound lane will remain open. Motorists are asked to adhere to signs, and to use alternate routes, for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers.

There will be no water or electrical service interruption as a result of this roadwork. The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this temporary road closure, and ensures the public that every effort will be made to restore vehicular traffic as quickly as possible.
