U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA or “Authority”) would like to advise the public that on the island of St. Thomas, there is a broken 24’ mainline on the waterfront apron of downtown Charlotte Amalie.
The leak has been isolated, however because of the isolation, much of the downtown Charlotte Amalie district will experience little to no water pressure.
In addition to the downtown core, neighborhoods as far West as Kerwin Terrace, and as far East as Estate Bakkero will also be impacted.
WAPA Water Maintenance Crews have mobilized this morning and are actively working on repairs.
