The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority petitions the Public Services Commission for a LEAC rate adjustment (PSC Docket 289).

The petition is for a proposed Electric System LEAC rate of $0.263127/kWh, which is an increase of $0.040881/kWh to the current rate.

The increase in the proposed LEAC rate is a result of rising fuel prices.
