Will the government be supplying clean drinking water to homes and/or businesses that are affected? What form will the supply take – hauling to cisterns? Individual bottles?
Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority, in close coordination with multiple central government agencies including Department of Planning and Natural Resources, Department of Health, and Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, is still in the process of identifying specific customers and usage data to determine the best way to supply affected customers with access to clean drinking water. This may result in a credit on customers’ water bills or distribution of home water filters. As soon as the determination has been made, that information will be disseminated.
