U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS, MAY 11, 2024 - The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to inform the public of intermittent lane closures on the southbound lanes of Caribbean Avenue and Paradise Avenue scheduled for Monday, May 13, 2024, midday. The Authority is asking the community to please remove their parked vehicles along these roads to allow the contractor, VI Paving, the opportunity to install the new service lines and meters with heavy machinery. Motorists are also advised to exercise caution.
The purpose of the lane closure is to continue work on the eastern portion of the Campo Rico Water Rehabilitation project.
The Authority thanks the public for its cooperation, as these water distribution system upgrades to the area will improve our services for our customers.
