U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to inform the public of a road closure on the island of St. John affecting Bay Street and the areas near the cemetery on January 16, 2023 from 7 AM – 6 PM.

The road will be temporarily closed during these times for milling and paving construction as part of Phase 1 of the Cruz Bay Underground Project. Bay Street at the Gallows Point end and Tobacco Road will be accessible via Seagrape Lane and Frangipani Lane. Work will be completed during the same day and the road will be re-opened upon completion. Line striping will occur on January 17, 2023, on Bay Street to finalize the scope of the project. A small area near Mongoose Junction will also be milled and paved during this time, but will not require road closure.
