U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) is hosting a technical career fair on the island of St. Croix for individuals interested in technical careers with WAPA.  The fair will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at WAPA’s Sunny Isles Business Office.  

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the plant, engineering, and line departments and apply on-site for full-time and apprenticeship positions territory-wide. Some of the available positions include, Civil Engineer I, Electrical Engineer I, Plant Operations Manager, Temporary Heavy Equipment Operator, Lineman Apprentice, Production Technician, Plant Operators, and more. Senior members of the various departments will also be present to share their experience and provide insight on current and upcoming Authority projects to improve infrastructure and increase resilience and reliability across WAPA’s services.
