The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to inform customers and community members on the island of St. Thomas of a road closure beginning tomorrow Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from approximately 7 A.M. to 9 A.M. Motorists traveling on Back Street should choose alternate roadways throughout this time frame. Please see map for outline of impacted areas.

The purpose of the traffic diversion is to allow the Authority’s crew to replace a transformer on Back Street. Customers on Feeder 9A will experience an electrical service interruption. Approximately 437 customers will be impacted along Dronningens Gade, Commandant Gade, Palm Strade, and nearby areas.
