Scheduled Electrical Service Interruptions on St. Croix on March 25 and April 6

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to inform customers and community members on the island of St. Croix of a scheduled electrical service interruption occurring on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this time, conductors will be transferred to the new composite pole.

Approximately 30 customers in the following areas will be impacted: Great Pond, Cotton Grove, and Estate Mount Fancy.

In addition, there will be a scheduled electrical outage on April 6, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow the Department of Public Works and WAPA the opportunity to relocate new poles to the new roadway.

Approximately 630 customers will be without electrical service for approximately 45 minutes, while approximately 70 remaining customers will experience an electric service outage for an estimated 90 minutes. Areas impacted include Clifton Hill and a portion of Barren Spot.
