CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – June 26, 2024 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to advise the public of a scheduled water interruption on St. Thomas beginning today at 6:00 p.m. through tomorrow 6:00 a.m. affecting approximately 3,000 customers from Contact, near Nisky Center Shopping Center, through Estate Thomas and the surrounding areas. WAPA Water Personnel are scheduled to repair a 24-inch transmission water mainline leak on the Waterfront Apron, adjacent to the Waterfront Local Fruit Stand, from 1:30 p.m. today until 4:00 a.m. tomorrow.

The Authority apologizes and understands the inconvenience for our impacted residents and businesses in the area. The economic impact affects us all as we strive to improve our infrastructure for a thriving community.
