U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (August 21, 2024) – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “Authority”) would like to inform customers and community members on the island of St. Thomas of a road closure on Back Street between Nye Gade and Raadet’s Gade tomorrow, Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This road closure will allow crews to replace a damaged transformer caused by Tropical Storm Ernesto. Motorists traveling along Back Street should choose alternate roadways. Traffic control and flaggers will be present.
