WAPA Announces Planned Electrical Service Interruptions on Feeders 6A and 6B

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (October 17, 2025) — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “the Authority”) advises customers of planned electrical service interruptions affecting Feeders 6A and 6B on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Feeder 6A

Electrical service on a portion of Feeder 6A will be interrupted between approximately 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., affecting approximately 963 customers in the following areas: Estate Pearl, Bonne Esperance, Santa Maria, Estate Hope, Fortuna, Bordeaux, and Botany Bay. The outage is necessary to safely replace a broken pole.

Feeder 6B

Electrical service on a portion of Feeder 6B will be interrupted between approximately 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. Approximately 252 customers will experience an interruption of about one (1) hour, while roughly 15 customers at Dronningens Gade/Hibiscus Alley will be affected for the full 5-hour window. The purpose of the outage is to allow WAPA personnel to safely install new electrical equipment.
