St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands (August 6, 2026) — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “the Authority”) advises customers served by Feeder 8B of a scheduled power interruption tonight, Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. Approximately 5,508 customers will be impacted.
The planned outage is necessary to allow crews to safely secure a pad-mounted transformer obstructing access to a leaking water mainline. This work will allow water system crews to complete the required repairs safely and efficiently.
The outage will impact customers throughout areas of western St. Croix, including Whim, Williams Delight, Concordia, Carlton, Walter I.M. Hodge, La Grange, and Strand Street.
